Baked Pita Chips

Ingredients
  

  • 3 large pita breads
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut each pita bread into 8 equal wedges using a knife or kitchen shears.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, toss the pita wedges with olive oil, salt, oregano, and garlic powder until thoroughly coated.
  4. Arrange the seasoned pita wedges in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, turning halfway through, until the chips are golden brown and crisp.
  6. Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely on the baking sheet to achieve maximum crispness.
