Cheddar Ham Protein Biscuits

Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups All -purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Unflavored whey protein isolate powder
  • 1 tablespoon Baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sal t
  • 0.25 cup Cold unsalted butter, cubed
  • 1 cup Non -fat Greek yogurt
  • 0.5 cup Shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup Diced lean ham

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (204°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, protein powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut the cold butter into the dry mixture using a pastry cutter or fork until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese and diced ham until evenly distributed.
  5. Add the Greek yogurt and stir gently until a shaggy dough forms; avoid overmixing to maintain tenderness.
  6. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and pat into a 1-inch thick rectangle.
  7. Cut into 8 equal rounds using a biscuit cutter and place on the prepared baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and the centers are firm.
  9. Allow biscuits to cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes before serving.
