- In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets, diced red onion, dried cranberries, sunflower seeds, and bacon bits.
- In a medium bowl, whisk the mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, and pepper until the sugar has dissolved and the dressing is smooth.

- Refrigerate the salad for a minimum of 60 minutes to allow the flavors to develop.
