Classic Italian Vinaigrette

Ingredients
  

  • 3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon hone y
  • 2 tablespoons finely grated Parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Measure the extra virgin olive oil, white wine vinegar, and lemon juice into a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.
  2. Add the dried oregano, dried basil, garlic powder, onion powder, kosher salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  3. Incorporate the honey and grated Parmesan cheese into the mixture.
  4. Secure the lid and shake the jar vigorously for approximately 30 seconds until the mixture is fully emulsified.
  5. Allow the dressing to sit at room temperature for at least 15 minutes to permit the dried herbs to rehydrate and infuse the oil.
  6. Shake vigorously once more immediately before serving to redistribute any solids.
