English Muffin Pizza

Ingredients
  

  • 4 English muffins , split
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup mini pepperoni slices
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place split English muffins cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet and toast in the oven for 3 minutes to prevent sogginess.
  3. Remove from oven and brush the cut side of each muffin lightly with olive oil.
  4. Spread approximately 1 tablespoon of pizza sauce onto each muffin half.
  5. Distribute the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce.
  6. Add mini pepperoni slices and a sprinkle of dried oregano to each pizza.
  7. Return to the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and beginning to brown.
  8. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 2 minutes before serving.
