Green Detox Smoothie

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh baby spinach
  • 1 cup kale leaves, stems removed
  • 1 medium green apple, cored and chopped
  • 1/2 medium cucumber , sliced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, peeled and minced
  • 1 cup chilled water or coconut water
  • 4 ice cube s

Method
 

  1. Thoroughly wash all produce items.
  2. Place the water or coconut water and lemon juice into a high-speed blender container.
  3. Add the spinach and kale leaves to the liquid base.
  4. Incorporate the chopped green apple, cucumber slices, and minced ginger.
  5. Add ice cubes to the top of the mixture.
  6. Secure the lid and blend on the lowest speed, gradually increasing to the highest setting.
  7. Process on high for 45 to 60 seconds or until the texture is completely smooth and homogeneous.
  8. Pour into a glass and serve immediately to prevent oxidation and nutrient degradation.
