Green Lemonade Smoothie

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh baby spinach, packed
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 large Granny Smith apple, cored and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar
  • 1.5 cups cold filtered water
  • 1 cup ice cubes

Method
 

  1. Thoroughly wash the baby spinach and green apple.
  2. Core and chop the apple into 1-inch pieces, retaining the skin for fiber.
  3. Extract 1/2 cup of fresh lemon juice, ensuring all seeds are removed.
  4. Combine the spinach, lemon juice, chopped apple, grated ginger, sweetener, and water in a high-speed blender.
  5. Add the ice cubes to the blender carafe.
  6. Process on high speed for 60 seconds or until the mixture is completely emulsified and smooth.
  7. Pour into glasses and serve immediately for optimal nutrient retention.
