Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons canned pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee or 2 shots espresso

Method
 

  1. In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together the milk, pumpkin puree, and maple syrup.
  2. Heat the mixture while whisking constantly until it reaches approximately 160°F (71°C), ensuring it does not reach a boil.
  3. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the pumpkin pie spice and vanilla extract.
  4. Optional: Process the mixture with a handheld milk frother or high-speed blender for 20 seconds to create a foam texture.
  5. Pour the hot coffee or espresso into a large mug.
  6. Pour the prepared pumpkin milk over the coffee and serve immediately.
