Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method
 

  1. Place a small saucepan over medium-low heat and pour in the almond milk.
  2. Whisk in the cocoa powder, maple syrup, sea salt, and ground cinnamon until the mixture is smooth and free of lumps.
  3. Continuously whisk the liquid while heating until it reaches a gentle simmer, approximately 3 to 5 minutes. Do not allow the mixture to reach a rolling boil.
  4. Remove the saucepan from the heat source and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the hot chocolate into a mug and serve immediately.
