Kefir Overnight Oats

Ingredients
  

  • 0.5 cup old -fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup plain kefir
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup
  • 0.25 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch sea salt

Method
 

  1. In a clean glass jar or airtight container, combine the rolled oats and chia seeds.
  2. Pour the kefir over the dry ingredients.
  3. Add the honey, vanilla extract, and sea salt.
  4. Stir the mixture thoroughly until all dry ingredients are fully incorporated and no clumps remain.
  5. Seal the container and refrigerate for a minimum of 8 hours or overnight to allow the oats to hydrate and the chia seeds to thicken.
  6. Stir the mixture before serving and garnish with preferred toppings such as fresh berries or nuts.
