Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups filtered water
  • 1.5 tablespoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon agave nectar or honey
  • 1 lemon slice for garnish
  • Ice cubes as needed

Method
 

  1. In a tall glass or jar, combine the filtered water and fresh lemon juice.
  2. Whisk in the agave nectar or sweetener of choice until fully dissolved.
  3. Add the chia seeds and stir vigorously for 60 seconds to prevent clumping.
  4. Allow the mixture to rest for 15 minutes at room temperature to allow the chia seeds to hydrate and form a gel-like coating.
  5. Stir the beverage once more to redistribute the seeds evenly throughout the liquid.
  6. Add ice cubes and garnish with a lemon slice before serving.
