Peanut Butter Protein Balls

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup natural creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 cup hone y
  • 1/2 cup vanilla whey protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup mini dark chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon wate r

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, protein powder, and chia seeds until dry ingredients are evenly distributed.
  2. Add the peanut butter and honey to the dry mixture, stirring vigorously until a thick, cohesive dough forms.
  3. Incorporate 1 tablespoon of water if the mixture is too crumbly to hold its shape.
  4. Gently fold in the mini dark chocolate chips until evenly dispersed throughout the dough.
  5. Using a mechanical scoop or tablespoon, portion the dough and roll between palms to form 1-inch spheres.
  6. Place the formed balls on a tray lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes to allow the oats to hydrate and the structure to firm.
