Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup old -fashioned rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt
  • 1/4 cup skim milk
  • 1 small dessert apple, grated
  • 1 teaspoon hone y
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon chopped hazelnuts or almonds
  • 1/4 cup fresh mixed berries for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, yogurt, and skim milk.
  2. Grate the fresh apple into the bowl, including the skin but excluding the core.
  3. Add the honey and lemon juice to the mixture and stir thoroughly to combine.
  4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap or transfer the mixture to an airtight container.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight to allow the oats to soften and absorb the liquids.
  6. Before serving, stir the oats and garnish with chopped nuts and fresh berries.
