Quick Christmas Cranberry Meatballs

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground turkey (93/7)
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 large eg g
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp sal t
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 14 oz canned jellied cranberry sauce
  • 12 oz chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, almond flour, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into 24 small meatballs, approximately 1 inch in diameter.
  4. Place meatballs on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  5. In a large saucepan over medium heat, whisk together cranberry sauce, chili sauce, and orange zest until smooth and simmering.
  6. Transfer cooked meatballs to the saucepan and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
