- In a skillet over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked and no pink remains.
- Drain the excess fat from the skillet and transfer the beef to the slow cooker insert.
- Add the onion, garlic, tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, and beef broth to the slow cooker.
- Stir in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Cover and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours or on High for 3 to 4 hours.
- Stir before serving and adjust seasoning as desired.
