Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken (93% lean)
  • 1 cup fresh baby spinach, finely chopped
  • 4 ounces sharp white cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 cloves garlic , minced
  • 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 brioche buns , toasted

Method

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, chopped spinach, shredded white cheddar, minced garlic, panko breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  2. Gently mix by hand until the ingredients are evenly distributed, taking care not to overwork the meat.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape into patties approximately 3/4-inch thick.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a non-stick skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
  5. Place the patties in the pan and cook for 6 to 7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove the burgers from the heat and allow them to rest for 2 minutes before serving.
  7. Assemble the burgers on toasted brioche buns with preferred toppings.
