White Wine Sangria

Ingredients
  

  • 750 ml dry white wine (e.g., Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio)
  • 60 ml brand y
  • 30 ml simple syrup or 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 medium orange , thinly sliced
  • 1 medium lemon , thinly sliced
  • 1 medium lime , thinly sliced
  • 1 medium Granny Smith apple, cored and chopped
  • 250 ml chilled club soda or sparkling water
  • Fresh mint sprigs for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a large glass pitcher, combine the sliced orange, lemon, lime, and chopped apple.
  2. Add the sugar or simple syrup and the brandy to the fruit pieces.
  3. Muddle the fruit lightly with a wooden spoon for 30 seconds to release essential oils and juices.
  4. Pour in the white wine and stir until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  5. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to macerate.
  6. Just before serving, stir in the chilled club soda.
  7. Pour into ice-filled glasses, ensuring each serving includes a portion of the macerated fruit.
