Winter Wonderland Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 large egg s
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all -purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon sal t
  • 1 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1 cup semi -sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup confectioners ' sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, ensuring each is fully incorporated.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  6. Fold in the white chocolate chips and semi-sweet chocolate chips using a spatula.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spaced approximately 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden but the centers remain soft.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Once the cookies are entirely cool, use a fine-mesh sieve to dust the tops generously with confectioners' sugar.
